The Brocade 57-0000089-01 XBR-000198/XBR-000199 SFP+ 16G Long Wave Laser (LWL) 1310nm Transceiver is an advanced Optical Module which is specifically developed for Data Center and Enterprise Networking. This transceiver has the capability to support data up to 16Gbps and can transfer data through up to a maximum distance of 10 kilometres using Single-Mode Fiber (SMF). This transceiver works with several Brocade switches, which are as follows: Brocade ICX Series, Brocade 6510, Brocade 6530, Brocade 6540 and Brocade 7800 series. These link interfaces enable faster data transfer and optimal network functionality that enables them to be used in data centers and other enterprises where high performance and reliability are necessary.
The transceiver applies a Distributed Feedback (DFB) laser to transmit the information accurately, while it uses a PIN photodiode to receive the information. This transceiver has a sensitivity of -12dBm and an overload capacity of 0.D5 dBm, and therefore, is perfect for environments where high data throughput is critical. The device is operated at one +3.3V supply voltage, and the interfaces have Digital Diagnostics Monitoring (DDM) to monitor the device functionality in real-time.
